Blue whales
The blue whale, which is the largest animal in the world, weighs more
than 200 tons. Even then it is in danger. The humpback whale which sings in the
water is also in danger. People kill whales for food for their oil. The heart
of a blue whale is as big as a car.

Giant pandas
The panda has a
white face with black patches around each eye. There is broad black band across
its shoulders. They are found only in the bamboo forests of the mountains of
central China. They do not make a permanent den. They take shelter in cavities
in trees or rocks.
There are only about 700 to 1000
pandas alive in the world today. They are facing many dangers. Their diet is
bamboo mainly. This tree dies back after flowering. There remains nothing to
eat. Then pandas have to migrate to other bamboo patches. Their cubs are very
small and may be attacked by leopards. Illegal human hunting is another danger.
Chimpanzees
Chimpanzees are
lives in Africa in Congo jungle. Chimpanzees face is pinkish to black and their
bodies are covered with long black hair. Their opposable thumbs and toes help
them grasp object easily. They walk on all four limbs although they can also
walk upright for a short distance. Chimpanzees’ habitat has been destroyed to
make farmland. This loss of habitat has endangered the existence of
chimpanzees.
